Be Praying

Here's an update from Lisa Fredricks. Be sure to keep Lydia in your prayers! I'll post more details as I get them.

This afternoon Lydia (Jeff and Charity's) 6 year old daughter suffered from a siezure. They brought her to Holland Hospital and eventually she was transported to de Vos Childrens Hospital. The details right now are a little sketchy but I do know that her condition has improved and she and her family could really use our prayers. There are more tests scheduled for tomorrow so hopefully we will hear more then.

Thanks!

Family Slideshow

Earlier this morning Alison e-mailed me this brilliant idea! Here's her e-mail:

Hello Feyen Family!

Well, Todd's Grandpa passed away 2 weeks ago and my sister in law and I put together a video to be shown at the visitation. There was something about viewing those pictures set to music that told such a great story. SO, I've been convicted to do a video for Grandma Feyen. Although the disc of pictures that I put together was great for those of us who know our way around a computer, Grandma can't view them because she doesn't have a computer. Anyway, I need your help. I am wondering if you have any pictures, new or old that you'd like included in the video. I'm going to try work on this really hard in the next few weeks (I know...not much notice), but if you can't get them to me by then, I can always add it later. Please include a note with who is in the picture with Grandma, or what Grandma was doing, etc. For some of the pictures I'm going to include captions so that we all know the stories.

I'm really hoping to capture who Grandma and Grandpa were so their story can be passed down to the next generation.

Alison

I'm thrilled that Alison is doing this and I know that it will turn out great! Grandma is going to love this!

Please contact Alison with any questions or just leave them in the comment box below!

Heads up from Aunt Esther

Aunt Esther wanted to warn everyone that if anyone gets an email from her about reunion.com please do not open it. She did not send it, but may have opened one like it that took all the contacts in her address book. So basically it's spam!

Also I'm still collecting e-mail addresses for the following people. If you can help me get their current e-mails I'd appreciate it!

-Uncle Ray

-Aunt Esther

-Uncle Fred

-Aunt Linda

-Sten & Deb

-Amy H.

-Uncle Harv

-Aunt Colleen

-Dan

-Andrew

Thanks Everyone!

News Update

-This friday Aunt Lois is flying into Michigan. Her trip is focused on being with Grandma, but I know she'd enjoy seeing anyone who wanted to stop by! She will be leaving Grand Rapids on the 13th.

-Today Rob, Leah, and Abel are flying to Uganda! They will be there for two weeks [I think]. I'm on their prayer e-mail updates, and I saw a few other family names but not a ton. If you would like me to foward these updates to you, send an e-mail to: juliaprichard@hotmail.com . They will be in need of much prayer over the next couple weeks!

-Also, I am going to start compiling e-mail addresses!!!! This seems like a huge undertaking, but once I'm finished I'll send everyone an updated list, and I think this will be very beneficial in the longrun. So either leave a comment in the comment box OR send an e-mail to me @ juliaprichard@hotmail.com . Be sure to send me your most current and used e-mail address.

Thanks!

Wayland Fire

Today I heard that one of Fred and Linda's feed barns was destroyed by fire. I don't have any news or information from Linda, but here is the link to an article the WZZM news put on their website:

I'll post more information as I get it.

Travel Plans

I got an e-mail from Aunt Mary-Jo a few days ago. She will be visiting in late December early January. Hopefully those of you in Michigan will be able to see her, Uncle Eudell, Steve and Julie, and the twins. Here's the agenda Aunt Mary-Jo gave me:

Eudell is flying out to Michigan on Christmas day and will stay until January 4. I am flying to Omaha on Dec. 31 to spend some time with Steve and Julie and the twins. They are picking me up from Omaha and we will drive to Michigan for a “quick” long weekend probably arriving sometime on New Year’s Day and leaving again on Sunday afternoon or Monday.

I'm sure others will be visiting Michigan in the coming weeks too, so just let me know and I'll add them to the list as well.

On a completely different note, Aunt Judy: I don't have your correct e-mail anymore, and was wondering if I could get the December birthday's from you?! Thanks!

Brainstorm

Here are a few things we as a family need to brainstorm on:

1. So in the last post Rachel brought up the idea of a family tree. Whether we make an up-to-date contact book with birthdays, current contact info, and maybe pictures, or do a different format I don't know. But as Rachel said, the family is getting bigger [theres almost 100 of us] and it would be nice to have an up-to-date list. I agree and I know Grandma would also appreciate this!

2. Quite a few years ago we had a family reunion at a winter resort place. I was just curious as to whether anyone would be intested in having another reunion in the coming years? This would obviously require a lot of work and preparation. So I'm just throwing the idea out there to see if anyone besides me thinks this could work! I know we have the cottage every year... but I'm thinking about something bigger that involves EVERYONE!

Add your comments, thoughts, and suggestions in the comment box below! It would be appreciated!

Finally, I think its important to get a current list of everyones e-mail addresses! I would be up for starting to compile everyones in the coming weeks! I'll add more information on that in the within the next week or so!

Thanks Everyone!

Family Updates

A few weeks ago I asked if the [Ken] Feyen's had any family updates they wanted to share. Aunt Joan sent me the following picture and Kendra sent me an e-mail as well. Here are a few of the updates:

-I [Kendra] have started competitive cheer and have recovered from the broken finger.

-Trent has started basketball, and the boys obviously are done with football/soccer until the spring.

-Right now the boys' lives are consumed with hunting.

I also know that Uncle Ken and Aunt Joan's 20th Anniversary is coming up and we [the Prichard's] are extremely looking forward to the end of December because the Feyen's are planning on coming out and visiting us for five days!

Maybe if we pressure them enough we'll persuade them to get a blog too!

A Quick FYI

I was just talking to Aunt Judy on the phone, and realized that to post comments you had to have a blogger account. Which is a pain for all of you who don't have a blogger account. So I changed it! Now anyone and everyone can post comments!

All I ask is that, you either pick the "Name\URL" option so we know whos commenting. Or pick the "Annonymus" option but sign your name in the actual comment.

[I'm not that good at explaining things over the internet, so hopefully that wasn't too confusing!]

So don't be shy ... leave a comment!
