Here's another recipe courtesy of Michelle:
Grandma Feyen’s Rolls
*In a small bowl mix:
1 ½ pkg yeast
2tsp. sugar
¼ cup warm/hot water
*In a different bowl beat 1 egg
*In a large bowl mix:
3 cups scalded milk
¾ cups sugar
¾ cups shortening
3 tsp. salt
Yeast and egg mixture
8 cups flour
*Let it rise 2 ½ hours – knead
*Let it rise another 2 ½ hours – form your rolls
*Let it rise ½ to 1 hour
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes
I don’t know if she still does but she used to take a stick of butter and rub it on the top of each hot roll.
**For cinnamon rolls:
Roll out dough after 2nd rising and spread with butter and brown sugar. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll up and cut. Let rise ½ to 1 hour. Bake at 350 for 12 – 15 minutes. Glaze.
Also, I got an e-mail from Aunt Linda regarding a Mother's Day get together at Harv and Colleens. It's @ 1:00 and if you go bring a cold dish and a hot dish to pass. E-mail Aunt Linda for more details.
Finally, as many of you know we are giving Grandma the gift of time. Every family is assigned a week where you do something with Grandma. Hopefully somehow I'll be posting the schedule on here. If you have any questions, post them in the comment box and I'll do my best to answer them.
I think that's about it for now. The May birthday list will be up soon!

After I put the schedule out for visiting Grandma/Mom, Ken and Joan gave me a great suggestion. Instead of our weeks going from Sun.-Sat. let's plan our weeks starting on Mon. and going through Sunday. (Since the weekends are when most people will probably schedule something it will prevent the possibility of G/M going almost two weeks without doing something) ;)
